The Services for Outside Catering and Concept Projects

Being the pearl of the Mediterranean, Cyprus is a meeting point for different cultures and civilizations with its myths and legends. The island resembs an open-air museum is a perfect destination for getting use of the historical areas at special projects.

Ruins of Salamis

Salamis was founded during the migrations at the end of the Bronze Age by the hordes coming from Anatolia and by the Achaeans coming from Greece and attending these Anatolian hordes in Kilikia. It is supposed that the legendary founder of Salamis was the son of Telamon, the king of Salamis in Greece, namely Tefkros. Tefkros was cast away from the country since he could not prevent his brother, Ajax’s suicide during the Trojan wars. This is why, he took a group of people from Trojan wars with him. He came to Cyprus in B.C. 1184 and he found the city of Salamis in Cyprus. Salamis has an antique theatre with a capacity to accommodate 5.000 people and an open space area of 1000 square meters. The Ruins is a good choice for organizations to use for gala nights and barbecue parties

Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

Built with the revenue earned from an only voyage by a merchant named Simon Nostrano of Famagusta around 1358 and 1360. It was turned into a mosque after the capture of Famagusta by the Ottomans and as a tribute to Sinan Paşa, its name was changed after him as Sinan Paşa Mosque. Due to its usage as a potatoe and grain storehouse during the period of British colony, it was starting to be known as grain mosque. It has a free covered space of nearly 400 square meters with an altitude of 10 meters. The Church is now affiliated to the Administration of Endowed Charities and is still being used. It is a convenient place for gala nights.

Othello Fortress

It was built by Luzinyans in 14th century in order to protect the marina. During the period of the Venetians, it was reshaped by Nicola Foscarini. On the upper side of the entry door, the national emblem of Venice Republic, the lion of St. Mark, the name of Nicola Foscarini and the year 1492 were carved. The Fortress was named after one of the famous plays of Shakespeare. It has an open space of 500 square meters, a covered space of 400 square meters and many large and small cellars together with rooms and kitchens. The Fortress is an appropriate place for gala nights and concept parties and also for degustation.

Sample Gala Night Concept

One of our concepts for a gala night is “Greek Night with Fedon”. It is a night to experience the Greek culture and history at Othello Fortress, which represents the history of Cyprus with its interior design, decoration and atmosphere. You will have the opportunity to see and experience the Greek culture and history with a unique atmosphere in a place peculiar to Cyprus. Plus, you will have the chance to taste various foods whilst having an enormous Greek night with Fedon. The path to the entry of Othello Fortress is illuminated with torches. Upon entry to the Fortress, the visitors are welcomed by the hostesses dressed in ancient Greek costumes. While a musician plays the harp at the entry, the hostesses serve Cyprus wine to the guests. Since the Othello Fortress is decorated within the frame of ancient Green culture, in another different dimension of time, the guests are shown the way to their seats by the waiters, also in ancient Greek costumes. After the guests take their seats, they are served a rich hors d’oeuvres plate. Later on, appetizers are served such as calamari and stuffed rice with shrimp. When the local band leaves the stage, the famous singer Fedon takes place with his group. While the program continues, the main dishes composed of whiting fillet with sauce, potatoes, lemon, seasonal vegetables and Greek Salad with a special sauce are served. As understood from the name, since our gala night is Greek, during the hours of highest entertainment, breaking plates is a sign of respect to the artist on the stage. After the main dish, the dinner ends with sliced fruit. With the fireworks show at the end of the night, a spectacular view is realized. After this, we return to the hotel.

Kyrenia Fortress

A rectangular shaped area was built to dominate the sea view. The actual construction date can not be defined. The Fortress is a convenient place for nights of concept, gala, and degustation.

Bellapais Monastery

The name of the Monastery means “peace” in French. It was built between the dates of A.D.1158 and A.D.1205 and later on during the era of French King Hugh III, it was restructured into its shape today (1267-1284). Luzinyan era in Cyrus was a time best known for its Gothic architecture.
It is a convenient place for recitals, cocktails and degustations.

Lion’s Garden- Night Club Night

During the special night arranged at the biggest and most spectacular disco on the Island, unlimited entertainment welcomes you with gorgeous light effects and the craziest dance music.

Cyprus Night at the Hotel

While you are discovering the heavenly beauties of Northern Cyprus, you will experience the Cyprus culture during a Cyprus night. At the gala night furnished with the rare dishes of the Cyprus kitchen, appetizers such as humus, fava bean, stuffed pepper with olive oil, white cheese, embered aubergine with yoghurt, Cyprus potatoe, kidney bean with olive oil, çakistez, gabber pickles, pot yoghurt with mint are served. After that, snacks such as grilled hellumi and şeftali kebab come. The night continues with the Cypriot group that will take the stage. While the program goes on the main dishes such as kleftiko kebab (baked lamb kebab prepared in the Cypriot way), potatoes, wheat pilaf and seasonal salad are served. During the later hours of the night, a team of folklore will take the stage to make a Cyprus folk dance. After the main dish, the dinner ends with mixed fruits and Katmer dessert. Later on, the epitomy of Turkish entertainment culture, a belly dancer, takes to the stage.

Beach Party at the Hotel
Would you like to stay overnight at the golden beach of Northern Cyprus? Under the phosphorescence, while you are feeling the warmth of the sand under your feet, you can have your mulled wine and satisfy your hunger after the dinner with barbecue.
As an alternative, you may brighten up your night with fireworks at the end of the night.

Interior Decoration at the Hotel

The entry of the hotel is decorated with an entry apparatus made of Styrofoam, above which there is a logo of the firm. On the entry hall, columns of the hotel are separated by the columns made of Styrofoam. The area over which the registration desk will be situated, is decorated with façades with an effect of column and rampart. The lobby of the hotel and the path to elevators are blocked starting from the reception side.

First day

After the gathering, the teams depart for Kyrenia. The guests are given free time to shop in Kyrenia. After a trip to Kyrenia Fortress and Bellapais Monastery, the guests return to the hotel.
At around 8 p.m., guests are invited to the beach by the animators. The party  arranged is to be prepared in line with the same concept. A visual show will be made with torches, ramparts, flags, and a fireworks’ show during the later hours of the night, and fire effects to be arranged at specific areas of the field.

Second Day

After the symposium, guests are taken to the Famagusta Fortress by bus and are separated into groups for the orientation prepared for them and they are delivered at different gates. At this event, Byzantium public life is actualized. For instance, special points such as grocery, pottery, academy, school of gladiators and photographer’s are built. Since the photographer’s are close to the Venetian Palace, the guests may get their photos taken. From these points, which are formerly specified in the sketches distributed to the guests, the animators ask some questions lead the guests to their place and distribute some numbers.

The sketch is to be arranged in a way that is easy to read. At the same time, this very sketch is to be the map of a history tour within the Famagusta Fortress. The numbers gathered at the stations defined in the sketch are to be return as gifts at the lottery gala. However, the guest who takes heed of the cues to be given at each point will receive the signal reward.

For instance: There is a key given by the seller at the market. This key belongs to a treasure box situated in an easily detectable place between the present station and the one after. Perhaps, there is a mini pocket computer inside the box. At another station, there is an envelope attached to the wall and it is slightly covered with plaster. However, as a cue, next to the envelope there is a scraper hung on the wall. The cue for the place to be dug will be the logo of the firm. In one of the other stations, there is a fortune teller and she gives clues. The fortune teller wants the coupons to be collected by the guests. Until that time she gives the secret map to the ones willing to give the coupons. In this map, places are shown that have more coupons and gifts. At another station, another gift waits for the guests. During this event, the Fortress of Famagusta is prepared in a way that resembles parts of a computer game. The guests are provided with food and rest at some stations in line with the concept. At this station, the animators serve complimentary food within the pots over which there is the logo of the firm. The first point to be reached is the Venetian Palace, and it is here that great surprises are(prepared for the guests. Perhaps, while the majority of the crow gathered, the soldiers would enter the scene. They would interfere with the situation and announce that it was an illegal event and they would take the identity cards of the participants. This would result in guests being eliminated.
